As Stephanie Rabiner writes for the FindLaw Blotter, it can be downright dangerous to wear your Halloween mask while driving, which could conceivably obscure your vision and make it difficult to drive, increasing your risk of seriously injuring yourself or others on the road in a car accident.
Not only that, but wearing your Halloween mask while driving could be illegal, too.
Rabiner writes that some states (like the state of New York) prohibit mask-wearing generally except on Halloween and Mardi Gras - this essentially bans wearing a mask while driving as well.
And other states have age limits on wearing masks. In North Carolina, the age limit on wearing a mask is 16 years old. This means that adults cannot wear masks, especially while driving, as it's not only against the law in that state but increases the risk of a car accident.
Beyond that, other states prohibit the wearing of masks on account of bank robbery. Several Hollywood movies portray bank robbers in masks - and the real George W. Bush Bandit in Texas comes to mind - the purpose of which is to evade identification by the cops.
