What people say versus what they actually do - infamously, perhaps, when it comes to politicians - is an old adage that is proven true from time to time. Take the case of Colorado State Senator Suzanne Williams, who may be indicted by a grand jury in a Texas car accident that she caused, involving the wrongful death of a pregnant woman on Highway 385, as reported by Justin Adams on ABC 7 News.

Sen. Williams, who pushes the passage of seat belt laws in her home state, was not buckled in, and neither was her three-year-old grandson, who was ejected from the vehicle in the car crash. After the wreck, Williams went and got her grandson and strapped him into a car seat before cops showed up on the scene. Apparently her grandson was okay, though it is unclear the extent of his injuries.

But Brianna Gomez, the pregnant mother that Williams hit when she crossed the center line and hit Gomez's SUV, died at the hospital. Her son was delivered by emergency C-section and survived.

According to Adams, there is not yet a finding whether or not Sen. Williams was drunk or otherwise incapacitated during the accident, and why Williams crossed the center line on a Texas highway is yet to be discovered.
